This is a swap all about poetry. Poems craft such wonderful images with words...methinks we can craft some wonderful items inspired by poems. Crafted items could include things with lines of favorite poems on them, images inspired by favorite poems (two roads diverged in a road, anyone?), if your partner WRITES poetry a crafted blank journal wouldn't go amiss...stuff like that there. The point is to get creative and, of course, have fun!

Crafted items should include 1 large, 1 medium, and 1 small (or equivalent i.e. 2 medium and 4 smalls etc.) at the minimum. If you and your partner want to do more...feel free.

I love Robert Frost's poetry  Cheesy

This is a great idea, unfortunately I'll be on holiday for the next three weeks... but since partners won't be assigned for a while yet... hmmmmmmmm....

I'll have to think about this one, it's very tempting!

i'm waiting for a partner to recieve and feedback but i'm totally in. i've been lurking a few swap boards but this is on-the-money.

in university my roomie and i used to dream about making gritty can-lit poetry shirts - ones with odd one-liner slogans written in sharpies - like 'radical kroetsch'.

by the way, billy collins (former us poet laureate) has a great website with a whole bunch of poems on it - http://www.loc.gov/poetry/180/ - i think he's a star anthologist.

www.Poets.org is another awesome website, they having recordings of readings by the authors for many poems.  I love the site. They also have poems in print and interviews with the poets and lots of interesting things.   -----> Just finished one poetry class starts a writing one Monday.  (working on convincing my sweetie that I NEED to do the swap!)

It's been awhile.

yay, just signed up!  i'll be looking at those sites for inspiration, as said in my application, i don't remember poets names or particular poems i've read, but have always loved poetry and when reading it i always resonate with it...so this looks like it'll be loads of fun! Carpe diem from dead poets society!!!!
