so, I've ventured into the Isle of Fair tonight...and am quite satisfied with my results! :

a closeup:

basically, I was knitting a child sized hat and got bored with the bland monochromatic color scheme and decided to try some Fair Isle. Nice huh?

heres another couple of hats using Noro Kureyon in 2 different colorways:

Those are so beautiful!  I especially like the fair-isle one.  Did you use a pattern?

Do you remember offhand how much Noro went into those hats? Just curious because I have some oddballs to use up. Smiley

the blue noro hat took one skein (including the pompom) and the other noro also took one skein, but no pompom.
I think for an adult sized hat, I would have needed another half skein.

Tere:
yep! a whole hat on one night...actually, it takes me about 3 hours to do a hat, but I get distracted with the kids running around getting into things so there are alot of pauses.LOL

ilovepaper:
yep! thats my girl Smiley shes so perty:D

oh, and as far as the Noro colors...the blue one is number 147 and the purply sunset lookin one is number 126

Smiley
