This hat was supposed to be for my hubby, I swear when I asked him about the hat he said he wanted it to be long enough to fold over, with a bullseye pattern at the top. Apparently i hallucinated the part about folding and I did the bullseye wrong, so it is no longer a hat for my hubby. I am sure someone will love it though, I just have to make another one for him. Smiley Anyways, on to the pics...

Front view, being modeled by a fabulous balloon. (I don't have a foam head thingy. A balloon seemed just right)

Top view. The bullseye was supposed to be reversed, so the dot in the middle is red. Oops.

Action shot. I am trying to do something other than the big squinty smile in my pictures. Mostly I end up just looking sad or mad. Oh well, I think it gives me "character".

Details:
Knit in the round with my (new, yay!!!) Denise needles, size 10 1/2
Merino superwash wool, cant remember the brand. Basic red and black, I used way less than half a ball of each.
Took me about 2 nights, not too bad.

So now I have to finish a beaded scarf, a hat for my sister in law, a hat for my mom and a hat for my hubby. Yee haw!!

Men!  It looks very nice even if he doesn't like it; it will make someone happy I'm sure!

did you use any particular pattern for it? I really like the rib you used, and I'm rather partial to red+black. Smiley

Translation... i want to make one too.

I think it turned out really great!  I'm looking for a little inspiration in getting a hat finished before it gets cold (and that will be a while) but two nights is pretty quick!

It's just the basic hat pattern in a 4x2 rib. I cant find the pattern online at the moment but if you PM me I can share it with you once I am at home (oh yes, my work pays me to look at Craftster, if only they knew) As for the stripes, I just made that up as I went along. Thanks!!!!
