I was at IKEA yesterday and they have the cutest fabrics. the vast majority of them are for furniture and are therefore too heavy for clothes but they do have quite a few patterns in dressmaker weight (clothing) and they are very affordable at $3.99 a yard. The patterns tend to be BRIGHT and LOUD and LARGE repeats but I found a cute one, this is it, my scissors are there so you can see the size of the repeat

Anyway, just sharing Cheesy

oooh, I have IKEA envy.  I am stuck in the middle of Indiana.  Right now the nearest one is 4.5 hour drive.  One is coming to Cincinnati OH soon...but not soon enough.  Heavy sigh.

Oh cute! That would look great as a jean jacket type of coat or maybe as a pea coat with solid pockets and collar. Sadly no Ikea by me either.  Sad

I've actually used IKEA bedsheets (new) on clearance for about $2 a piece to make skirts for me, and cute lil' outfits for DD when she was a yiddle biddle thing. I almost forgot about that til' I read your post!

Very cute fabric!  I have IKEA envy too.  We're in Vegas, and the closest one is about 4 hours away in California. Cry

Oooh I love IKEA fabric!! I have a whole stash of it in my sewing room - I'm saving it for who knows what as the prints are so big, and the material so un-dress-like that I don't know what to do with it.

That and the nearest IKEA is about an hour away and I have no car. So there my material sits until I become inspired Smiley
