I wanted to make a wallet that I could wear (I need to be hands free) because my handbag was hurting my shoulder and when I bend forward, the bag comes too!!!  I came up with a prototype of a wallet that slings over the shoulder.  It's 4.5" wide x 2.5" high x 1.75" deep.  I based the pattern off kategirl's messenger bag - it's kind of a mini version of that - complete with a zippered divider.  There is a place for coins on the front flap and it velcros closed at the bottom.  It's really comfortable to wear and I can feel my phone ringing before I hear it as the phone is next to my body.  When I have my car keys, I simply clip them to the clip on the wallet.  The coin purse at the front is really handy - I can get into it easily and quickly without having to open the wallet.

The next one I make will have two clips on either side (rather than just one) so that I can clip on a strap or I can clip it onto my belt loops (I wear jeans ALOT!!).  I will also have the option of making another strap converting it to a wristlet.  Next one will have funkier fabric too.... Wink

Onto the photos.....

Very cool! I like the material and it's a neat idea. I usually carry two bags, one inside the other so I can have my HUGE bag full of crap and then my wallet carrying bag and this would be great for that.

Your ideas just never stop coming, do they?   Cheesy
This is so darn cute, very creative and highly functional.  Can't wait to see more! (BTW: the zipped divider is very impressive, considering the small size you had to fit it into!  Grin)

Thanks for your kind words!!  Wink

Yep - sewing miniature is HARD!!  Believe it or not the zippered divider was easy.  It was topstitching around the edges that was the hardest bit.  You've got to kind of squish everything down to sew around a 3D corner.  But I had my trusty blind hem foot to neatly top stitch everything.  Cheesy
