they are all great!!!
and the little girl is soooo pretty
are they your design or did you use a pattern, would love to make one for my niece, the one on the first pic
awesome work
thanks for posting
Anaoly

Thanks Smiley  I rarely make things with a pattern, I used to, but I mostly draft my own patterns.  I just looked back at all the dresses in this post and number 14 (I think it's 14, the retro style house dress with the button down front) is from a vintage pattern.  I don't know the number off hand, but I can look if anyone is interested.

OMG, OMG, OMG! Cool

These outfits are fantastic! These have to be better than any designer's clothes out there. The best post I have ever ever seen on Craftsters. Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

Just 2 questions, as I aspire to be this good one day!

1. Are you self taught or did you train to design clothes?
(I ask, as I am starting a sewing course in a few weeks?

2. Please could you share where you get your AMAZING fabrics?
Smiley

Wow, thanks for the compliments  Kiss

On to your questions, I took a few sewing classes about 5 years ago.  I was still very very much a beginner after the classes, they mostly taught me how to use my sewing machine and how to read a pattern.  I think that I learned the most from just sewing all the time and continually challenging myself.  I have made quite a few things that are embarrassing or that I had to throw away, but it helped me get better Smiley

The fabrics come from the Los Angeles fabric district, lots of treasures to be found there.

Stunning!

I second the request to know where you get your fabrics  Cheesy

Also, the obi-style dresses - are those made out of a jersey/t-shirt type material? If so, I've REALLY gotta know where you get your fabrics!

Thanks Smiley  Yes, the obi-style dresses are made out of knit fabrics.  I got the fabrics from the LA fabric district.

They are really beautiful dresses. As a child, however, I never wore dresses, I was a hand me down pants tree climbing kid Cheesy the problem with dresses is they can be very impractical, even if they look lovely.

You will have to tell that to my youngest daughter.  All she will wear are dresses, that is why all I have been making are dresses, so that she will actually wear what I make her Smiley

When I am president, I will name you official Secretary of Dressing Children.
Seriously, you've outdone yourself this time.

And I can't believe how big your girls are getting!

Hahahaha, I love that!
