I have enough earrings that I can never find the ones I want easily. For a few years I had them hanging on a sheet of plastic canvas on the wall. It worked well enough I suppose, but it was ugly. Then someone posted this link (http://www.purlbee.com/swatch-portraits/) on craftster and I knew exactly how to adapt it! My brother pulled all these 3" embroidery hoops out of a dumpster a few years ago and they've been sitting around taking up space since then (because when am I going to have eight teeny tiny embroidery projects in progress at one time?). I didn't glue the fabric into the hoops like the tutorial instructed because I want to be able to change the fabric every once in awhile. I have a different hoop for each color of earrings so I only have to look in one small place to find what I want to wear. Its a bit difficult to tell in the picture, but each hoop can hold about three long pairs and three or four short pairs of earrings. Now I just need a good way to display my hoop earrings...

use the hoops for dreamcatchers, they are open weave and you could hang your hoops. I like this collection.

I have a split personality, because you guys crack me up.  AND The best day I ever had was TODAY!
