tiny+large=cute? Adorable Sundress [img chunky]

Ok so i found this skirt from a few years ago in my closet. It didnt fit me then, and doesnt fit me well now. It's like a granny skirt, it comes up so high! But i loved the fabric and was determined to save it. At a craft fair/yard sale me and my friend beth both got these tiny girl shirts as a joke. They are both size 7/8. So here was my deliemma:


Not to mention how long the skirt was...not so trendy anymore.
So i decided to do this:




Heres a close up of the fabric:


I havent actually sewn the two together yet, but when i do i will add straps. And repost, of course ;]

Ooh, I can see why you didn't want to get rid of the skirt.  The fabric is so pretty.  Good luck with your project!
