I think I'm officially giving up, I'm not usually so bad at this stuff...is this confusing to everyone?  I tried posting my link that I had emailed myself and it didn't work.

Yea! I see it! Smiley Nice work!

I like the continuation of the color-change motif on the sleeves. Smiley

prettyfloralbonnet - it's gorgeous! I bet your new baby will look adorable in it.

midwifemamma - I really like the stripes on the arms.

I've got some chocolate brown chunky yarn I may use for this, with stripes of colour.

I also LOVE the way that you did the color changes on the sleeves.  I was thinking of doing mine that way as well.  Now after seeing yours, I think I definitely will.  Great job!

Thanks!  I actually only did it that way because I ran out of green. I was going to do the ribbing but ended up frogging it because I didn't like the way it looked.  I think the rolled sleeves are perfect on my daughter.

Alright, my yarn just arrived.  Well, most of it.  2 colors were a no-show because i always order from the discount list and then it's never ALL available...does this happen to anyone else EVERY TIME THEY ORDER YARN. ugh. oh well, there's enough of the other sweaters to do a 5 color sweater instead.  this is my first time ever using more than one color in a sweater so i suppose it's better to minimize the number of color changes in case i don't catch on right away.
also, my first time knitting with 3 needles to start a small circle.  we'll see how it goes.  i'll cast on in a minute.

the color changes are easy peasy.

knit a bunch of rows in color 1.

now, start the row with the new color, and knit a bunch of rows in color 2.

repeat with all the other colors
