I received an awesome package from wootwoot! She painted a mirror with Matrioshka dolls using the perfect colors for my office (I'll show you later when I have it picked up a bit ). She also made a little pin.

Here's the mirror. The little Matrioshka doll pin is on a piece of paper wedged into the middle.

I'm glad you like it, novastarlet!  I haven't painted anything in forever, so this was fun.  I might have to do more of those little mirrors (from Ikea, of course )

I received a great package from suzukibeane, and will posts pics soon (my batteries are never charged when I need them )

I received from a_heart_apart! She sent me five Matrioshka cards, a set of nesting boxes (the innermost is a block), a necklace and ear rings! The stylized Matrioshka on Japanese paper look fabulous!

Here's what I got from suzukibeane33!  I mentioned that I preferred more traditional looking matrioshka as opposed to the cute ones (though I like them both) and just look at the beautiful fabric she used on this pouch she made for me:



Inside (because it was nested, of course ) was this pretty altoid tin (to add to my tin collection)



And inside that was this great magnet:

I should have thought of nesting things like that. Geesh, it seems so obvious now.

I'm glad you like everything WootWoot!  My friends sometimes wonder why I spend so much time making things for complete strangers, but then when I received my package from novastarlet, they completely understood how nice it is to give and receive a beautiful handmade gift to someone who will really appreciate it!

Everything I received looks super-professional- I have no idea how you get such perfect stitches on your appliques!  I also happened to really be wanting some pouches for tampons, makeup, my bike repair kit... and now I have two!  Anyway, without further ado- the pics!:

I'm already using this pouch and still am in awe of all the detailing (unfortunately it's a little hard to see because of the flash, but I hope you can still see the beads, the little eyes, the embroidered hair :
