Okay, I admit that I rarely post on this board, I spend 95% of my time of craftster hanging out on the swap boards, but that's okay.

I made myself a new skirt tonight.

It's my first time putting in a zipper and button!

YAY it works!!
I got the fabric over a year ago in a lot I bought off LJ simply for ONE of the fabrics in it.  I've given away a lot of the other fabrics, but I loved this denim, and couldn't stand to part with it, but I didn't know what to do with the small piece I had.  Too big for a pillow.  Not enough for clothing.  Didn't match the living room. Not the right dimensions for a bag. etc.
This afternoon it caught my eye when i was working on something else, and I thought "ooooh that'd be a cute skirt!" So I pulled it down and discovered there was just enough for the front of a skirt. (Since I recently lost 15 lbs.) So I rummaged through my stash and found some denim that matched perfectly for the back.
And Voila!  New skirt!

Cute!  Smiley

Wait, where did those come from?  I swear I didn't go to the craft store, honest!

Let the baby crafting commence!  Cheesy

Can you tell me what "LJ" is?

Can you tell me what "LJ" is?

LJ is LiveJournal www.livejournal.com  which is really a blogging website, but there are communities on there with lots of different purposes.  I bought this fabric from a girl who posted in a community for selling and buying fabric and other craft supplies.
