I found patterns for a pleated pouch bag, a clutch bag and a drawstring bag at this site and thought I would post the link.  It is from Threads Magazine #113 but the directions are only on-line and not in the magazine.  I've only made the drawsting one but I did modify that so that the cuff is smaller and goes up instead of down.  I'll post a photo if someone wants to see it.

Anyone else find sites with free patterns for purses?

It looks like j.caroline creative is down. Sorry.  It worked the other day. Here's the parent site.  The link to j.caroline creative is at the bottom but right now is down.

There's some good ideas you can get from their regular site but no directions since they are finished product for sale.

Lalage, I really liked your Anykine Bags.  I tried twice and failed miserably.  I also liked your journal.  I found lots of really cool tips like that loopy fringe bit.  So thanks!!  Leslie

I made the anykine bag tonight and it worked out really well. I used a stiffener that was about 1/16th of an inch thick so it looks almost padded...and I made it 8x16 instead of 5x10...but it will still only fit a hand inside. Perhaps I shall go bigger next time?

I'm not sure if here's the place to post a photo but I will anyway.

I'm going to make more of these. They're great "little girl purse" gifts!

~My best friend's sister's boyfriend's brother's girlfriend heard from this guy who knows this kid who's going with a girl who saw Ferris pass out at 31 Flavors last night. I guess it's pretty serious.~
