I made this belt years and years ago (sizes and sizes ago).  I found it recently in a box of old shoes, and I thought someone might enjoy it.


Here's a view of the whole thing.  Please ignore my toes.


Here's a closeup on the pattern I repeated.  This also shows the true colors.


Here's a closeup of the flower.

I used some silk ribbon from a frame embroidery kit I had, and the leather is from an old riding coat that I hated to cut up (not really, it didn't fit and I got it secondhand).  Yes, one day I will fit into it again...

Thanks again.  Yeah, I think we all have something that's too small, but that we don't want to get rid of! 
This was actually my second try at the ribbon embroidery.  The first one had to be trashed- it was that bad!  I couldn't even salvage the ribbon for something else.  That's why I had so much leftover, I barely made it through the kit!
