I've been hesitating about posting my work, hoping to find a niche for ceramics around here somewhere. However, the works keeps on piling up around my house with my family as the only appreciative audience. I'm in the process of applying to art school, so here are some snapshots of what will be going into my portfolio. I haven't gotten around to assembling the actual portfolio yet, so please forgive the poor picture quality on some of the pieces.

Here is my leafy fruit bowl-

My Cloud Bowl

The Iris Vase I made my mom for Mother's Day

The Bowl that reminds me of a tree stump (note the rings)

I'll put the rest in another post so this post doesn't go on FOREVER

Here is my Deep Sea Anemone (the first one is the best reproduction of the color

Flora

Vortex

And Marigold (this one is actually quite large- about 1.25 feet in diameter and 9 inches deep)

So. Thats all for now I think. More to come eventually.

Oh, and one more thing, I know there isn't really a home for us ceramics lovers, so I'd be happy to answer any questions anybody has for me. Thanks for looking.  Grin

I ADORE the cloud bowl and tree stump bowl-just stunning! I'm sure you will get in where you apply. They'd be CRAZY not to take someone as talented as you.

Good Luck!

Hey, beautiful work! It's cool to see a ceramics post on here-- I love ceramics too and I wish there was a section for it on craftster. It is a pretty well-established, long-lived craft after all.  Roll Eyes

Anyway, I think your stuff is great. I especially like your glazing. And the natural shapes you're working off of go well with this medium. I think "flora" might be my favorite-- it looks so finished and professional-- but "deep sea anenome" is awesome too.

Good luck with your portfolio!
