I have finally finished the baby set I was making for a friend:

and so I present the Lilac collection  Cheesy

A couple of the items are crochet, but the knit items are as follows:

Blossom from magknits made using Jaeger baby merino yarn in a purple/lilac colourway (no embroidery due to the vairgated yarn and I used 2 strands of thinner ribbon to tie it closed),

Saartje's Baby Booties made using Debbie Bliss Baby Cashmerino yarn in one colour (lilac)

Ribbed Baby Shrug using a pattern from the fall 2007 issue of Knit Simple:

I need to get a cream ribbon to tie this closed which I will do tomorrow.  This was made using Bernat Baby Softee and is incredibly incredibly soft to the touch!

Kitty Cuddle Toy:

Made using Cottontots yarn and my own pattern with modifications to make it into a cat (previous incarnations of this pattern have been a rabbit, a bear and a gnome)

The other 2 items in the top pic are crochet - a little cloche hat and a wool soaker made to my own pattern....

More details (yarn, modifications, needle size etc) on my blog

I just hope the mamma likes lilac!

So pretty!  I'm sure any mum would be thrilled to recieve it!  The shoes are vry cute and look easy to put on baby feets.
Particularly like the little pants!  The ruffled hem looks so girly girl.  And the colour is great Cheesy

If all our life is but a dream, fantastic posing greed
Then we should feed our jewelry to the sea
For diamonds do appear to be
Just like broken glass to me.

Oh that little dress is so beautiful!  Actually everything is very beautiful, but I'm a fan of that type of dress on little girls, and purple is one of my favorites!
