SO great!!

BTW, I think you should totally add a crazy cactus, like from Mario Kart. Would totally go with the sand in the box, in my opinion.

Hey everybody! Thanks again for all the encouraging words! Wow, I didn't expect such a great response! Thanks so much!

Well, last night I gave him (the boyfriend AKA Chris) his "Japan-In-A-Box" and he loved it! He really liked the garden although when he opened it (of course) he held it on it's side and some sand came out. lol.

I'll post some pictures of the boyfriend enjoying his little garden along with the whole Japan In-A-Box later, in another post.

Thanks again!  Cheesy

I love the way the cat want's to put it's 2 cents in.

Soooo cute.

This is a fantastic idea.

It could use a couple more objects, I'm not that familiar with Mario, so I can't suggest anything, but I'd say, stick to an uneaven number (like in flower arranging). Perhaps one more thing would do.

oh, mario themed craft..... its impossible to go wrong!  nice garden!
If you want something more, maybe you could paint the underside of the top of the box, in a nice blue and draw some of those nice fluffy white clouds?
and then maybe throw in a few incredibly green rolling hills to?

either way, great job!
