WOW!!!  You've been very busy.  The carrot juice soap does look nice  Cheesy  What makes it nice?  Does it have a nice feel/texture?

I also like the lemon tart soap too.  It's nice and bright.

I occasionally make soap for my family *hangs head in shame as I haven't made some for a while* and I am always looking for new things to put in the soap.  I experimented with wheatgrass shots and the soap went a lovely green colour.  It didn't alter the "feel" of the soap though.

The carrot juice doesn't have any sort of texture at all, it is smooth.  I am amazed at what a creamy lather I get with this soap and I know it has to do with the carrot juice and that is what makes it nice.  Wink

I've added dried cranberries, coffee grinds, lemon grass, lavender, oatmeal, pumice, ground blueberry, ground vanilla and my fave is ground loofah.  My dh loves scrubbies.

Wheatgrass sounds like a great thing to add, have to add that to my list.

Thanks for the info - I must try it.

You have inspired me to make some more!!!  I make 1 pound batches - just enough for my family from time to time.  Smiley

If it had grown up, it would have made a dreadfully ugly child; but it makes rather a handsome pig, I think.

Please stop making drool. Tongue I'm seriously a home made soap addict. I love the swirl pattern in them, makes it look even more luxurious.

Lovely soaps! I need to get a slab mold so I can play around with swirls more. Loaf molds just don't cut it.

Looks good.

How/when do you add things like carrot juice? I've only just started making soap, so i haven't got to the experimental stage yet - just in case it all goes wrong!

Thanks for the nice comments. I'm still practicing my swirls and getting the hang of what to do and one thing I have learned is less is more.

The carrot juice is part of my lye "water". If my recipe calls for 12 oz of water I add 6 oz of water and 6 oz of carrot juice and then my lye to that mix. You can add any type of juice mixture like tomato, mixed like V-8.  Give it a try, it does really make a difference in the outcome of the soap and it's creaminess and sudz.  Next time I am going to add bananas and peanut butter but that is not to the lye water, that is added after trace.
