seriously, thats great work. I have a question for you: I finished the first chart repeat and I haven't had any weird yo problems like the notes/rules metioned - (the first wrong side of a pattern repeat?) should I be finding it difficult? I'm worried it won't take proper shape  Huh

After doing the second chart repeat I'm convinced I'm doing something wrong. The YO's two sts in on the right side are bigger and not shaped the same as the left. Rather than lament I ripped it all out and I'm starting fresh tomorrow.  Angry
I'm determined to get it right this time.

Can I join?  I actually took a class from Amy herself, but then I put it down in my "I don't feel like knitting" phase and some support might be nice.  And here's a pic of how far I am.

I have 15 repeats currently.  And one row is getting to be very slow.

Arg! I got through the second set/group of repeats before I looked at the pics in the book and realized that I'd managed to do the yo's on the back incorrectly...

Time to rip out and start again  Cry

I just got this book and I absolutely luuuuuuuuurve this pattern.  What needles do you recommend to work with silk?

I had a lot of trouble with my seasilk so now I'm a bit gunshy so I may wimp out and buy a wool/silk blend.

I'm working with Debbie Bliss Pure Silk on my KnitPicks options, which are very slippery metal.  But they're the only things I have.  If I had the funds, I'd get some bamboo needles if you're going with silk.  Hope this helps and good luck!

ooh, bamboo.  I love an excuse to go to my LYS.  If I get squeamish about the slippery factor, I think I may do this pattern in Zephyr Jaggerspun DK weight, but I would need to go up a needle size.

Ahhh!  I'm done!  Hopefully I can block it tonight (when I'm done laying? lying? on the futon) and have pics tomorrow.  Right now it's not quite as big as I'd like it, but I hope blocking will help.  And I was getting sick of rows with 877553532 stitches in it  Wink
