Yes - my little sister is a ham.
From Stephanie Japel's Fitted Knits.
It was incredibly fast to knit up - it's the smallest (or second smallest?) size, and only took me two evenings: one for the back and sleeves and another for that killer ribbing. She only wanted short sleeve.

It was a nice little stash-buster. I used part of a ball of Paton's Decor in Sandcastle for the main, and exactly an entire ball of Bernat Satin in Mocha for the trim. I just kept knitting until I ran out, so the ribbing at the front isn't as long as it is in the book. I also made fewer increases at the chest, because, you know. . . she's seven.
She absolutely loves it - it was actually knit up in the emergency waiting room while we were waiting to get called in. My little brother came home from camp with something like scabies he contracted from a pet there. Yum!
Comments and critisisms welcome!

lol Oh yeah. . . it's very minor and cleared up within two days. There's a pill that you can take and it kills the little suckers right away. It was gross though - just the thought of it! He was braver than I would have been, and he's only nine!
Thanks! I now have orders from her for a few different colours.  Roll Eyes

Your shrug turned out so cute, I better not show it to my 8 year old or she will want one for back-to-school!  I love the color combo, cute enough for a little girl, but sophisticated enough she feels allgrown up.

Really, really cute - the shrug AND your sister! Isn't it fun to make something for someone who then just loves it? I'd be tempted to do her a whole wardrobe of them!
