So, I'm a long time fan of the "Post your photography in here" thread, and I was thinking of making a contribution, but when I started looking through my photos I realized that I love way too many of them to clog up that board with them all. I've tried to pick my favourites or the ones that are most popular on my deviantart account for your viewing pleasure (I hope!).

I've reduced the size and image quality by a lot in order for them to be uploadable to Craftster's picture hosting, so if you would like to see bigger, better versions of these I'd love it if you'd visit me on deviantart at http://tierneyb.deviantart.com/ (don't worry mods, I'm not selling anything there!).

Without further ado, some of my photos:

"Please"
Taken as part of a series at the animal shelter in my town.

"Innocent"
...second in the series.

"Sabra Caged"

"Bright Eyed"
A self-portrait.

"Morning Bloom"
-light play on a little flower in the garden.

"Little Path"
-a photo of a path on a nature preserve in town that I lomo-ized in photoshop.

"Lomo Dad"
-my dad mugging for the camera. Also lomo-ized in photoshop.

Well there's a small selection for you. If you enjoy them there are more photos on my deviantart account, link posted above. Thanks for looking <3

I love the shelter pics.  However do you go to the shelter without taking home a dog? Smiley

my favorite is the close up of your dog. You are very good. Unfortunately I don't share your talent.

Aww, thanks so much guys! Everyone's favourite seems to be that first one of Silver. She is a real sweetheart, and happily she's been adopted since this picture was taken!

Thank you! It's very hard...I actually worked there for a time and continue to volunteer there so I've gotten used to being tempted. I already have a dog and three cats so the house is getting pretty full!

These are great pictures. May I ask what you mean by "lomo-ized"? It's probably something really obvious, but my brain has opted to quit functioning for the night, so bear with me.

Thanks very much  Cheesy

When I say lomo-ized I mean made to look like pictures taken with lomography cameras which are apparently pretty trendy right now. I don't know all that much about them....only that I like the saturated style. Here's the wiki on them: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lomography

And here's the Lomographic Society website where you can view a ton of photos taken with lomo cameras http://www.lomography.com/. Also, if you enter lomo on the deviantart search engine it comes up with a ton of other examples.

Hope that's not an overload of info for ya! lol

Here's another lomo style photo of silver.

The pictures are so good.  I love all of the ones with the dog, and I too don't know how you went in there and didn't take him home!!

I would also be interested to see a comparison picture of one of the lomo styles not lomoed?

Nice work on all of your photos, the first is totally my favorite though, there is so much emotion in it, and no one can resist puppy cuteness Grin
