This week I made some sea creatures using patterns by Jessica Polka. I totally recommend her patterns as they're very clearly written.

First is a squid. I used a 4mm hook and some thrifted worsted weight yarn that's probably an acrylic/nylon blend. This is my new favourite thing to make. The squid body is 4" long, and the whole thing including the longest tentacles, is 10.5".

Second is a prawn. I'm not as excited about this one, but still think it's cute. I used a 4.5 mm hook and Lily Sugar & Cream cotton yarn. It's 5" long.

I seem to have a bit of an obsession with making sea creatures these days!

Wow, those are awesome. I especially like the squid. Smiley It'd be cool to have them crazy colors like lime green and purple. Good work!

Ooooo I love the squid!  Great attention to detail and your gauge is small enough to really show that.

Super Cool Grin
