Hi all-- Very hot here today, but I have mittens on my mind.  Want to make a nice pair of mittens for my 18 yr. old daughter.  Don't really want bulky, rather a finer pair.  Any pattern or yarn ideas would be greatly appreciated!!!!!!! Cool

I'm making knitty's Corozon right now.  I'm using misti alpaca, which is listed as a worsted, but is really more of a dk weight.  I'm getting gauge anyways.  They're not heavy and knit up really fast and the fair isle pattern is interesting but not too hard.

Would those be good?

If you like colourwork, one of my favourite patterns of all time is Eunny's Anemoi Mittens pattern, on her blog, just gorgeous. Try KnittingPatternCentral's mittens page, or a mittenulator for your preferred wool and tension.
