After almost 2 years of lurking, I am finally posting something.  I made these finger puppets for my daughter's teacher a few months back.

The Queen of Hearts is unfinished in this picture.  I ended up fixing her hair in an up-do and I added a crown.  Unfortunately, I did not get a picture.

I have been so inspired by this site but I have been too nervous to post until now.

These are just amazing, and beautifully done.  What a great tool to use to introduce kids to books, too!  I could imagine all kinds of literary amigurumi and puppet sets.... Fun!!

These are not too hard to make.  Once I figured out how to make the eyes, everything else was cake.  Of course, the hair is time consuming.

Unfortunately I did not write down what I did as I went along.  My mom has requested a set for her class so if I make her one, I will try to put together a tutorial.  It probably will be awhile before I can do that though.

I made a set for my kids because I love Alice in Wonderland but they are too little to sit and listen to a story with so few pictures.  With these they can act out the story while they listen.  I have also made them a set from The Wizard of Oz and Peter Pan.  I am always looking for more books that I can craft a set of finger puppets for.

What a lovely idea -- and so nicely done. I really like all the detail on them. You have captured their characters very well.

Every home needs a cyclops or five, they're much better than those motion detector things for keeping your home secure.
