Obnoxious: a sweater

Ooh, I really like it. It looks a bit like one of the patterns in Fitted Knits, and as usual I am blanking on the name.

I bought loads of fuzzy synthetic yarn when I first started knitting. It didn't take long to work out that if you're going to use it at all, it's best used along with something plain.

Thanks for all of the comments, you guys!   I'm not usually one to wear anything that annoyingly colorful, but the yarn needed to be used.

lady_cyanide, I'm not too far away!  I'm in Lafayette for now trying to finish school, though I'm not originally from here.  I grew up south of New Orleans, and moved there for college, but well, we all know how that story goes.  I've really gotten to like this area though.

oh that's awesome! i'll be moving there next semester and going to ul. doing the community college thing right now, but i'm running out of classes to take..time to upgrade lol. did you know they opened up a new yarn store on pinhook? i haven't been there yet, trying to eliminate my stash of cheap red heart crap, and sell whatever i make, then i can have more room (and money) for the nice expensive stuff  lol my fiance's been wearing beanies of red heart super saver and i've been wearing shrugs of caron simply soft for LONG ENOUGH i say!

i have some cache lying around after i purchased a few myself. only took one to make a calorimetry, so...
i like the idea of adding it into a project as kind of an accent color/yarn. gives you more possibilities.

The funny thing is that I almost bought some of that yarn at Wal-Mart this morning!  I was waiting to have some paint mixed and I needed to kill some time browsing and I ended up in the yarn aisle (of course) and that yarn caught my eye.  I reconsidered, because I have so much of that impulse buy yarn that I never use!

Your sweater is cute, though.  I like what you did with it.
