I learned to knit when I decided to make shawls for my bridesmaids... almost two years ago. I just got the pics going. Being my first knitting experience and the fact that I used Homespun, I had a difficult time. I think I created new stitches multiple times, as one of my 'maids received a shawl that was big enough to be a blanket. Which is how she uses it now (she folded it in half for the wedding). They also received brooches to use to pin them together if desired.

Anyhoo... I have learned much since then and purged all Homespun from my collection (not good in terms of the bank account).

Those look lovely and warm. I like the red - and the fact that you can use them after the wedding ceremony. Good thinking, bluesmom.

They're lovely - they look really snuggly. I love the idea of contining their use too.
