that is extremely beautiful! I love the color contrast and simplistic design Shocked I cant believe that is your first, great job!

a positive attitude may not improve the situation, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort.

Wow -- how wonderful!  Was the dino book by Robert Sabuda, by chance?

This is a neat project~ please show us your bird one when done!

That is amazing! The cuts are really really clean too, something I'm incapable of achieving. Nice work Smiley

Thanks for all your comments!  I finished the birdcage, but haven't gotten a chance to photograph it yet, unfortunately.  I'm in the process of moving into my new apartment and getting ready for college to begin in a week.  I'll try to get it up as soon as I can, I love hearing feedback from other knowledgable craftsters!

So cool! I've got to try some! Except, I don't think I'd want to put that much effort into a card. Maybe a piece of art that could be set up in a shadow box? Huh That would be cool.

That's wonderful! I know I'd love to receive that card  Cheesy

Omg LOVE!!!! That is so pretty Smiley Very professional looking. I love the design and the bright orange against white, works really well. Clean-looking but with a burst of color Smiley And the cuts really neat too.

I didn't take a class, I actually went to a book store and was inspired by this AMAZING dinosaur pop-up book (I wish I could recall the name!).  Mine, of course, was much simpler, but I just sort of... examined theirs enough that I was able to figure it out.  I'm sure I looked ridiculous to people passing by the children's section though...
Haha I do that all the time. I love children books: the colors, illustrations, especially the ones with the pop ups and pockets and other interesting bits Smiley I would like to write a children book one day. But yeah, must've looked weird to people passing by... though I don't care! Grin

Now I'm totally inspired, should make one of these too! Smiley I'm looking forward to see the birdcage one Smiley Hope you'll post that soon.

Nice work! I really prefer a more simple look (like you've got here), than the trend toward filling handmade cards with every available bobble and die cut. Lovely and inspiring.
