hello peoples, ive been inspired by loads of stuff on here so time i posted a project i think..
i read a few posts about plastic bag fusing, and made these , yesterday and today.

the first one, well i had lots of red blue and white, so went for a union jack on the front of the bag, and the back has words like 'recylcle' and 'save the environment' cut out of bags. The sides/base/handles are mostly white with red and blue bits on. im not happy with the handles really, they dont feel comfy to hold. i think ill be taking them off and swapping for some fabric handles maby, any ideas?

this is the second one ive done, feeling a bit more adventurous, tryed to do a pic. made and cut out the sections but not sewn it together yet. this ones for my friends bday Smiley

i noticed on some tutorials people had sugested covering printed plastic bags with clear plastic bags to stop the ink and getting messed up. but i found, if ur not doing text, its easyer just to put the bits of printed bag face down, and the colour still comes through. just my tip .

anyway hope you like, and that the pics work.

This is one of the best fused plastic bags yet!  Great job!  I think fabric handles would prob be more comfy, or you could splurge and get some cool ready made handles (bamboo maybe?) from a fabric store.

I really like the designing ideas...my fused plastic bags fabric so far has been just bags fused together with no thought to making them look particularly good.  But I'm inspired now...these bags are really nice!
