This apron has been in my WIP pile for quite some time ... finally pulled it out and finished it!  I used Simplicity 4282/apron A and the ever popular cupcake fabric (I have been DYING to make something with cupcakes!).  The pockets and ruffle are brown with white polka dots.  All the while I was making it I couldn't help but think that there had to be a better, easier way to make this apron!  The binding was difficult and I was not convinced that it would actually make it through the washer and dryer, so I reinforced all the binding with a zig zag stitch ... but in the end it is still super cute - and it did survive a washing.  It's for my daughter and she'll love it all the same (she does not sew and won't know the difference if the stitches are a bit sloppy!) but I think if it were for a swap, I'd have started over with wider binding ... or something  Undecided

This was my first try at this type of apron, so, as always maybe a second one will go smoother -  Grin
My daughter BETTER make cupcakes in it  Wink

Got this piece of shrinky dink ... had it for 25 years now.  It's moved to five states and one European country ... and I just know, someday ... SOMEDAY ... I WILL use it!

I agree.  The apron is darling. I love the color combination you used. I also agree about bindings. They can be evil in disguise.  I've just finished one apron and am working on a (sort-of) matching child's apron and the binding is my least favorite part.  Congrats for finishing it and remember, it's the thought that counts.
