LOL! I love the Guitar Hero bit! That is hilarious (and sounds like my addicted husband;) ) Very cool!

The comics are from my favorite webcomic EVER, XKCD.com. Definitely worth a look.

Been camping for a few days, a lot to catch up on.  One of my favorites is the Radiohead necklace.

Kiden2 is having camera issues, so this is what I sent her:

Modest Mouse "Center of the Universe" purse:

Elliot Smith "Happiness" binder:

"Red Hot" Chili Peppers dishcloth:

Ben Folds Five "Army" cell phone or whatever you want cozy:

I got to try out some new skills and had fun.

My partner should have received my package by now, so I'm going to post the pics of what I sent:

The letters on the bag are handstitched, it looks a bit like the Elliot Smith binder from myklia, is it handstitched too?  Cheesy The binder looks awesome by the way!

the inside of the bag is plaid fabric, I thought my swap partner would like this because she is from Scotland:

The seams look horrible, but it was my first bag with a zipper and everything, plus I got a "new" sewing maschine (meaning it is 15years old not 65...) and it kind of exploded during sewing a few times... I think it doesn't like me...

zipper detail:

I'm very proud of this, I had to search a long time to find something which matched the colours of the bag!

I love the stuff you sent.

The binder and the Ben Folds Five "Army" were both hand stitched.  It way my first foray into the world of embroidery.

Funny that we had the same idea...   Cheesy

I know now how time consuming it is to stitch letters on a bag!
I admire your patience, the binder must haven taken a while to stitch...

You guys are all amazing me!  Everything is cool looking.  Grin

I wouldn't even know where to start with embroidery so that's very impressive.

Thank you.  Sewing the Ben Folds Five "Army" cozy was much harder though.  I don't own a sewing machine (let alone even know how to use one) and sewed everything by hand.  Next time I take on a sewing project I will own a sewing machine and learn how to use it (I hope by then end of the year).  I would love to know how to really sew.

Lizzie - that's some great work on the bag there... I know how long it can take to hand-stitch letters... I once thought it would be a great (?) idea to cross-stitch up a CD list... yeah... 24 songs + artists = far longer than I thought it would take.

I've sent off a bunch of "OI!" PMs - some of you are lovely and prompt in replying. I thank you for that.

Status will be updated as soon as I get a chance - but if you want it done NOW! PM me, and I'll jump on it.

I've used my lunch break to do a sort out, clean out and update.

Most of you have been updated to positive status! Yes yes yes!!!! You people all deserve fluffy clouds and cookies.

Three people seem to be flakers. This displeases me greatly. As such, I've turned their status to negative. They have a few days to realise this and get in touch with me, or I'm off to find angels.

Four more people have sent, but their partners have yet to tell me that anything's arrived. For these four people, your status remains 'in progress', UNLESS you show me a copy of your receipt, or a working DC number thing. I've gotta follow the rules guys - and I'm sorry about that.

Soo..... for those who are yet to receive, my fingers are crossed for you.
