Shall I get the photos going?

Poor Red Fumes... she had such a tough bunch of songs from me. I don't listen to a great deal of highly successful and commercial artists. And this swap happened just as I became obsessed with an album from an Australian band that  pretty much NEVER got any airplay, and broke up 10 or 12 years ago. Add to that, they were only ever really known in Melbourne, and Red Fumes lives almost at the other end of the country!!

Still... lookie what I got:

This is my 'Sunny Delirious' birdie. Tlot Tlot, that much underappreciated Aus band had a song called Sunny Delirious... I went outside into the blazing sun to see your / beaky feathers they were sunny delirious / and dreaming of a colourful past not here....

Then, a rather awesome singlet top. From PJ Harvey's 'Big Exit', it's possibly one of my most favourite lines at the moment 'This world's crazy. Give me the gun.' The lines are stencilled on the back as well. I love muchly this top

Compounding the awesomeness, we have a bookmark and haiku cards. Please note that the bookmark features the god of music, Mr Nick Cave, who I will be seeing in concert in October. The cards play to my love of manga, and Red Fumes has written haiku in each, inspired by my song lyrics. Wow!

Finally, the awesome icing to my swap cake, I have an art card inspired by Barry Adamson's 'Set the Controls for the Heart of the Pelvis', AND lots of lovely letter writing stationery with my all time favourite lyrics EVAH down the side (quicky translate: It's never enough, there are never words enough, to describe the absurdity of our times.

What an effort, hey? I apologise for shoddy quality - I have no idea of where my digital camera is, so I was reliant upon ye olde mobile phone.

Is that an Illinois pendant? Is it for Sufjan Stevens, or someone else?

Once again I'm so over joyed you like everything Kitten Wrangler! I had so much fun incorporating the lyrics and things you liked together. Plus, I discovered some really awesome tunes along the way. Sunny Delirious and Fermi Senza Forma are very cool songs.

One of the guys from Tlot Tlot has a new album out, under the name of Fred Astereo... they have a myspace, if you want to see. I'm working on developing an Australian fanbase for Le Vibrazioni and for Ligabue, because I can't quite work out a way of getting myself to Italy, and some concert tickets for me to see them in person!!

MajesticDanayay... that pumpkin is pretty cool!! And it reminds me that I've really got to get around to buying Melon Collie & The Infinite Sadness - I've only just updated my cassette copy of 'Siamese Dreams' to mp3. And the microscope pendant? Those things are awesome!!
