Since I have only been soldering for a few months now, I was unsure of my ability to solder something round. I was finally in the mood to tackle it last night. My plan was just to make the blue pendant. When I finished it, I started to make the red one and then realized I should put the darn things together!

Those are just your plain old glass marble thingies from the floral dept of every store on earth. And I got 'em for half price! Yay!

I totally dig this! Soldering is on my list of things to learn within the next couple of months.

I love! this idea. I've been really meaning to learn soldering. I should scoop out some of the marblesfrom the bottom of my fishbowl and get started on that. great work!

I dig it! Very nice. How did the glass react to the soldering torch?

Actually, I've been thinking of doing a little tutorial. I'd prefer to make a video tutorial because I think that would be better. Its kind of hard to explain everything. My camera sucks though. I'll see if I can borrow my sisters camera and I'll try to put something together. I know a lot of people want to try this and don't have a clue where to start.

The glass doesn't do anything but get extremely hot. I wear gloves when I'm soldering it and I also use a wooden clothes pin to hold it up, especially when attaching the jump rings.

Thanks so much for all of your kind comments!

Beautiful! I had the same idea and did it with a bracelet but yours look so much better! You got the solder around the marbles so smooth, it looks great.   Smiley

Here is a pic of my bracelet, see how lumpy it looks. lol

I just use tons of flux and it makes it less lumpy  Smiley

I am planning a video tutorial after I move into my new house next week.
