I want to spraypaint a desk lamp red, it has a plastic shade and base, but I am unsure if using that spraypaint for plastics would be ok because of the heat, I use a low wattage bulb in it, but it still gets hot.  Any suggestions???

Did you query Krylon? Or Rustoleum? The manufacturer should be able to answer this question.

I was just about to ask this same question, except my lamp is metal and I was wondering if using acrylic paints or some sort of enamel would be a good/bad idea.
