hi kids!  so i've always wanted to try cables and am in need of a cardigan.  tada! solution.  i found this pattern that i really want to try out, but i want other people to try it out too!http://www.canadianliving.com/CanadianLiving/client/en/Crafts/DetailNews.asp?idNews=237130&idSM=307
and since i've never done cables or a full out cardigan (buttonholes frighten me) before, i was hoping that i could get some info and support for all you go guys!

Hmmm...I may be up for this. I have some super bulky yarn I've been trying to find something to make with for a while. The only problem is, I don't own any 19 circs. If I get gauge with smaller needles, I'll let you know.

Good luck!! Cables really aren't all that difficult. In fact, once you get the hang of 'em, they're kind of addictive!  Cheesy

I like to do personal swaps now and again.

I knit, crochet, and make stitch markers.

Just pm me if you wanna swap. Smiley

That cardigan is gorgeous! I've seen it before and been envious. I will order some super bulky yarn as soon as possible to join you on this! It may be a couple of weeks so I finish the two sweaters I'm currently working on (this will make me go more quickly)!

You can get some great super chunky yarn from WEBS:

I'm thinking about getting the Classic Alaska (It's only $3.79 a ball)for a couple different projects that call for this weight-I just can't decide what colors.

Keep in mind that the Classic Elite Alaska is only 25yds/skein. You would need 3-1/2 of them to equal the yardage in one skein Twinkle Soft Chunky.
