Skull swatch!! (Update w/ Chart!)

So I've been trying to figure out a sweater idea for my husband and was thinking of a cabled sweater or one with a skull and crossbones on the front. Then it hit me...a skully cable-like sweater. So this is what I came up with...







So now my hubby can have his nice looking sweater and his skully too! Any comments welcome! I do know that they are kinda hard to see but that is sort-of the point. I'll post the sweater when I get that done...whenever that may be!

Ok, so here is my skully cable chart. For the swatch I basically did:

k3, p1, k1, *1st row of chart*, k1, p1, k3 Turn
p3, k1, p1, *second row*, p1, k1, p3 Turn

What a, um, cutely sinister idea! And then it's knitted and for hubby, so it's a winner all the way around! I'd love to see the completed project. Kudos for coming up with the skull pattern yourself; my attempts at such things generally fall apart miserably.

Thanks all of you for your nice comments, and yes I will eventually post a chart! I just have to clean it up a bit so that people can read it besides me!

i've said this numerous times on this board, but skulls are my favorite thing! (its the likes dead things anthro stuff). i want a hat with those skullies on them. good luck with your sweater!

You know that is probably one of the coolest patterns for a mens knit I've ever seen.  It's got a punk vibe without being too over the top, like a "this ain't your gramma's cable knit sweater" kinda thing...
