I found a pattern (Simplicity 3769) for a dress I liked and decided to make it out of $1 a yard walmart fabric first to see how it turned out.  I included the zipper the pattern suggests on the pink dress but didn't really like it so I didn't use a zipper on the blue one.  I plan to wear the blue dress to a cousin's wedding in a few weeks.

These were the first dresses I made completely by myself.  How do they look?  Does the blue one look nice enough to wear to a wedding?  The fabric for that one is more expensive and from the fabric place.

I would say that blue looks plenty nice enough for a wedding. Very pretty.

The blue is gorgeous and would be a great dress for a wedding! The pink looks like a nice cool summer dress.

The blue one looks an awful lot like the dress I wore to my prom. They both look great.
