No before pics, because I got home and ripped the shirt up right away to start on this.  Actually, it's been done for a long time (since Spring semester), but only tonight did I sit down with my mom and we figured out how to reline it so it's not as floppy, so only now am I posting pictures. =>  Just in time for the Fall semester!

This started as a black and white striped tank top from Walmart for $7, and four images of that awesome Elvis jailhouse rock fabric.  I still have the blue piece sitting around, waiting for me to do something with it..
We spent most of the day searching all of the fabric stores in town for black and white striped fabric.  None.  On a whim I looked at Walmart for clothing and found the tank top!  Perfect!  I think it was an XXL, so I had lots of fabric to work with...
added a piece of vinyl at the bottom to give it more support/a flat bottom.  It's lined with white cotton and... whatever that stiff lining stuff is.  That stuff, yeah.

The front - I put the pink on the front because I love pink, and also I liked this photo the best.  We used fusing to put the pictures on, and then I handstitched around the black frame to make sure it stayed.  It looks off center here, but the bag is a little tube-y right now because it's fresh off the sewing machine and hasn't been abused into a rectanguler shape yet. =>

The back (slightly blurry).  After we put the picture on and realized the stripe was going to show through... I think that just made it even more awesome.

I used the orange panel inside for a pocket, to fit my planner, pens, and cellphone.  Ignore the chunk of doghair inside. *facepalm*

Elvis bag, being mauled modeled by my dog Auggie (very blurry!)  I used one of those Elvis Lives beltings for the strap.
