My Potpourri Bag

So, I decided at the very last minute to enter the Challenge. I was already crocheting this bag, and was going to take my time, but then I caught a crochet bug and whipped it up this afternoon. I had to hurry to finish the handles (69 rows of single crochet, each...phew!) I named it my Potpourri Bag because that's the colorful color that I used: Peaches 'n Creme's Potpourri and Ecru.

I fit 1/2 gallon of milk, monster box of Goldfish, a box of cereal, 2 bags of bagels, & a box of Nilla Wafers, and there was still plenty of room for more groceries! I think will end up using this bag for my bigger, but lighter, awkward items, like napkins, or the big bags of cereal (my kids love cereal haha). I love the colors though! I have a different stich pattern in mind that I want to try out for my next one.

cute bag! i tried to make one of those about a yr ago and just could never get it right, the mesh had all sorts of wonky holes in it. did you actually mark eveyrtime where the next round started? cuz i kinda just played it by ear...obviously it didn't work out so well

CrochetAdikt : I didn't mark where my rounds were. I sort of winged it.  I'm actually working on another bag right now, where I'm using a more concrete "pattern". Basically, instead of crocheting the base and then working it up, in the round, I'm working each side separate, and when I'm finished, I'm going to single crochet the sides together. I'm also making it shorter so when it stretches, it won't be a monstrosity of a bag, like the Potpourri Bag. I'll let you know how it works out. The pattern I'm trying to write up seems very easy so far.
