I love love love oil cloth and have been dying to make a bag to carry my lunch to work in (the whole wipe-able thing is cool). But I've been afraid it would jam up my machine. any problems??

Very nice!!

I really really really would love to have Interweave Knits Spring 2007 for those Eunny Chang entrelac socks. . . Does anyone want to swap for it?! I have yarn, I can sew, embroider, knit.

well yes, haha

At first I had trouble because I just got a new machine and I was still trying to figure out how to work it [so it was on a tiny stitch length which jammed my machine]
so I got discouraged and then didn't work on it at all.
Then I figured out how to make the stitch length the longest it could and me[speedy sewer] learned to go relatively slow to make sure jams didn't happen and it worked!!!

So...moral is go slow-ish and make sure you're stitch length is LONGGG!!

happy oil clothing!!! (its nifty stuff! I LOVE the patterns and a LUNCHBAG would be fab!)

I've got some oilcloth haunting me in my closet, and I've been wanting to make something.. The pouches are adorable!  I may have to try it, and I'll keep the long stitch thing in mind.
