I'm playing catch-up

I haven't done anything I've been happy with for a while now, but this last week the heat must have melted something in my brain, cause I finally made some things I'm satisfied with.  Almost all of these look better than the scans!

Pheonix, card base is napkin decoupage, embossed metal tape colored green with ink, then hand made leaf paper, some kind of roofing mesh tape (also colored with ink), metal leaf charm and magazine bird cutout colored with gold leafing pen and glitter glue:


This is one of those that looks so much better in real life.  The hand made paper is not nearly so red, edges if the card are covered with brass foil tape and colored with metal ink.  Embellishments are stickers (center leaf is on embossed vellum)


Trees thru the leaves, napkin decoupaged background, a little gesso over that, hand made simple leaf cut out and tree stamp layered on cardstock.  Gold leaf pen around the edges


Wiggle wired flower:  Again napkin decoupage base with a little gesso, then a wire flower (that now I see could have used another petal! lol) and a piece of cardstock for the vase.  Center of the flower is a smashed bottlecap.


Waiting Ladies.  I love this one --- so much better in person!  Made from a book cover (paper jacket-- whatever you call the paper cover on a hard back book).  Heavy shiney paper.  Just cut the image and overed a small piece of chipboard, made a frame from chipboard and the same book cover, like a slide frame, and layered it all on black cardstock.

I like them all but I LOVE the Red one and of course the TREE!!  Did you buy that piece of tree art at RedOak or was that Rhonda?  Your card reminds me of it.

The Geisha should be named "Sindy".
