A very good friend will celebrate her birthday this upcoming Saturday, and with her, I am always at a loss at what to get for her. She is great with receiving handmade gifts, but I didn´t want to take it over the top this time and got her something she AND her husband can put to good use.
Sooooo------------------------
I put together a little kit for making cupcakes. Me and MY hubby always argue what flavor to make, what frosting etc. so here is the idea - I got her cupcake mixes to make both pirate muffins as well as fairy muffins. Hubby has no point to argue anymore. Smart, no?

The whole thing doesn´t just stand inside box, of course. You might not be able to see, but I made a little tote out of craft paper to keep the sprinkles, the mix for the cupcake dough and also the bag for the liners in place.
I added matching sprinkles for both mixes - 4 flavours of chocolate for the pirate muffins, and fours flavours of... well, PINK for the fairy muffins.

This bag holds the cupcake liners.

There is this cute little café in Frankfurt where I always go to when I am in the area called "We love Cupcakes" where they give out promotional stickers. I found these very appropriate :-) - and aren´t they just the cutest thing EVER?

And, last but not least, I made a birthday card as well:

Oh, and in case you are wondering - the box is a used tangerine crate I still had around (never EVER toss these out - they can be used for millions of craft projects, I tell you!!!) and just covered the ugly sides with craft paper.
So what do you think - yay or nay???
