I sandwiched mine under the zipper foot and used the edge of it as a guide.

That said, up until just recently all of my stitches were all over the place. Once I quit trying to feed the material through myself and relaxed and let the feed dog (right?) do it's job my stitches became straighter and I was less tense after sewing!

Good idea Mountain Girl! I will have to try that! Where is everyone getting their nifty labels from Huh I love all of them

Very cute wallets--and a great tutorial.  I actually think that I have some of that same lemon fabric laying around here somewheres.

There's a link at the very beginning about labels. There's also a message with tutorial links here http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=1083.msg1650059#msg1650059

I love your wallets and your tutorial is very easy to follow. The only thing i had problems with was installing the snap. Do you have any tricks for getting those dang things on? I got mine with the little blue installer, it says easy snap installer on it, but they were lying. The snap prongs fold in on me and will not stay attached to the top part, if you know what i mean...so frustrating!

I bought the snap "pliers" that are pretty easy to use.  It took once to figure it out but after that it was easy.  I knew I would NEVER figure it out with the installer where you have to use the hammer.

My mom put my snap on...because she lives in the neighborhood and has a fancy set. I have the blue plastic one too!

How neat. Clean and simple but so much character with the fabrics you picked. Thanks for including nice tute and photos!!

I'm going to make a easy snap tutorial, but I keep running out of free time! Hopefully within the next day or two I'll have a nice snap tute ready. Once I learned how to do it, it was really easy!
