I found out about this challenge just yesterday - I had been on holidays and wasn't near a computer for awhile. I could however not let this challenge pass me by - I loved the idea and after scrounging around my craft room and a wee trip to the fabric store - my bag is complete. I am totally in love with it!!! It has a big bright tree on the front. I thought a tree was very appropriate - seeing how recycling, reducing and reusing is all about preserving the environment.

How I made it = I used some old curtains from Ikea for the bag. For the applique I had to go to the fabric store and purchase some cotton prints as I did not have these colours available.
I hope you like it !! - I can't wait to use it

Thanks everyone for your comments - the bag took quite awhile to make - what a tedious job to cut all the leaves and stems - this was my first time doing applique and now I can see how it can get addictive.

I love that idea - just picture a fall tree with colourful leaves for Autumn, a snowy tree for Winter and a Spring tree with just tiny buds -This current bag will be my Summer tree. I think this would be super fun to do - Oh no!!! another thing to add to my list.
Again thanks for all the nice comments
