My entry was completely inspired by Dr. Suess'  environmentally conscious book( and my personal fav) The Lorax. If you have never read the book and can't wait to know what its particular message is heres a link to the musical video version.

ok. so the bag was made out of two extra large tees i had. it is a reversible slouchy bag, complete with pockets! The Lorax accompanied by his very green statement is stenciled on both the inside and outside.

YES THAT REALLY IS THE WHOLE LORAX STORY....it was very entertaining.


i wore it on a trip to san francisco and i think it fit in very well with the city's effort to become even more green.

Very cool.  I totally thought of making my Lorax bag reversable too since it had the deep purple lining, but couldn't really think how I wanted to do it.  I tend to make my own patterns because they make more sense to me.  I also thought about using old t - shirts to create the bag, but went with the purple since it's my favorite color.  Great minds think alike.  =)
