Seriously when it fits she'll be the coolest little kid on the block!
I've seen that fabric before, do you mind if i ask where you bought it?

There is a theory which states that if ever anyone discovers exactly what the Universe is for and why it is here, it will instantly disappear and be replaced by something even more bizarrely inexplicable.

There is another theory which states that this has already happened.

Im looking at it again!  I love it! I keep trying to get that fabric, but I always have to buy some thing else in stead!  What pattern is that?  I want to see what you were talking about earlier!

it's butterick b4434. from the 99 cent sale a few weeks ago at joanns. i also got a bonnet pattern, but it seems complicated compared to how i would make it if i made a pattern. i wanna try it soon though. you know me and bonnets. and we saw little amish girls this weekend in their long dresses and bonnets too. i think i'm about to go on a bonnet kick!

i almost bought it online, 'cause i could never find it here, and then they had it at joanns, and i bought all 7 yards they had left.
it's alexander henry "calaveras", you can find it on ebay, or google it. i couldn't find it in pink online the other day when i wanted to find a pic of it, but it also comes in blue, and black.  there's also mini-skull calaveras, with smaller skulls, it's what i used for the ties on the dress  here, and the smaller skulls for the appliqus. and the larger skulls have glitter and the mini skulls don't!

hmmm...we need a bonnet tutorial! I looked, and I don't think there is one. A little ammish styled dress and bonnet made out of tiny jolly roger fabric would be so cute.

it's not the very lightest featherweight stuff, which i meant to get, but it's pretty light. (i was buying the interfacing for something else entirely...) it's a little stiffer though. i was at wal-mart, and my choices were severely limited. it worked well for this though.

and that fabric would definitely liven up something! funny it's alexander henry again, (so's mine above) i have a running joke with a friend about kidnapping alexander henry, if he exists!

Thanks for the info!  I recognized those sugar skulls as Alexander Henry right away.  Who knew there could be fabric designer groupies?

a positive attitude may not improve the situation, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort.
