My inspiration was Dr. Seuss's conservation themed book, "The Lorax".  I created a pattern for the bag out of an old gift bag.  Then, I sewed it up with a deep purple lining.  I created The Lorax out of felt, put him on his wall labeled "Unless", and lettered his sign that says "Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot, Nothing is going to get better, it's not."  I then ironed them on with double sided ironing tape.

Closeup of the pictures.

Detail of The Lorax.
