I just ordered a brand spanking new Louet Junior Roving Carder and it is on its way!!!  It was too good of a deal to pass up.  I cannot wait to use it.  I love spinning from batts and now I can make my own.  I cannot wait!  I would've loved to have a Pat Greene, but I just can't afford that now.  So I figure I can have this for now and always sell it later and get a bigger one if needed.

I am so excited.  I have never used one though, hopefully it is pretty easy.  Smiley

Congratulations!  I've never used a drum carder either, so good luck with learning.
Where did you purchase it?

I purchased it at Hello Yarn, but it must have been a limited thing, because the price is higher now.

Time to pull out my Color in Spinning book and get ready.  Smiley

Oh congrats!  I just ordered a drum carder too and can't wait for it to get here.  The Color in Spinning book as a terrific section on drum carding!

I love my louet JR. It makes such fluffy batts, and it works really well on bamboo and cotton too!

I've gotta go find my Color in Spinning book... Haven't seen it in ages.
Has anyone else noticed that a lot of people have been getting drum carders lately?  I've joined the club, too, having ordered my own yesterday.
