Okay so this challenge was the perfect one for me. I absolutely loved the idea of this challenge and just knew I had to come up with something so fantastic.

My bag is based on the cloth versions you can now see in every trendy boutique in LA and NYC. You know those cloth/canvas bags that say " Not a plastic bag" and cost anywhere from $100-400.

So I got to thinking, how cool would it be to make a reusable grocery/beach tote out of plastic bags, using that awesome tutorial you can find all over the internet. I made 9 panels of fused plstic bags (target bags) and then carefully sewed each panel together into the shape of a tote bag. I then lined the bag with red duct tape (2 layers) to give it a sturdier fabric and help it hold it shape.  I added two small pockets inside that are great for holding cellphones, wallets, coupons, keys, change...you name it it can hold it. The handles were constructed out of rolled up plastic bags (not fused) and then bound with red duct tape.

Then for fun I stenciled " THIS IS A PLASTIC BAG" on front. See you don't need to spend hundreds of dollars to be eco friendly!

So without anymore bells and whistles I give you:

A Plastic Bag!

I like your bag soooo much more than the "this is not a plastic bag" ones. Yours is way more practical&creative! Good Job!

INstead of cardstock, I use wax paper.
