So this is my new bear for this week.  I really love how he turned out.  He's made of a taupe colored mohair that has a dark backing that I think looks nice.  Hubby has stared a new way of painting the eyes, and I think they really stand out.  He's 15".

I'm working on some new patterns, but I'm having one of those days where what I have in my head is NOT what turns out in muslin. haa haaa haaaaa hrumph!

Enough of my complaning...Here is August...

Ok, bears aren't normally my thing, but this guy is absolutely GORGEOUS! I seriously stopped in my tracks and just had to check this guy out.

You have a serious gift.

I usually look at bears and think "that's cute" but this one took me totally by surprise, it's just fantastic!

That's adorable!  I love his expression.  He looks so quizzical, like that cute way puppies tilt their head to try to get something from you.

I kneel and worship the machine you sew on.... your bears are amazing! I can't believe that it's possible to "create" these, they look as though they are alive. I have a special fondness for bears like this, my mom had a Stieff when she was little that managed to survive, that I got to play with many years later. He was pretty tattered by then, but I think he started the soft spot in me for special bears like yours!

You and hubby make a great team!

The machine I sew on is a $79 Brother from WalMart. lmao!!!

Thanks for the kind words everyone.  Comes in handy when I'm pulling my hair out.

I agree - I'm not really one for bears but he looks so beautiful and alive! Wonderful sewing and detail!

I have never fallen so in love so quickly before!
the cutest little man i've ever seen.

There is a theory which states that if ever anyone discovers exactly what the Universe is for and why it is here, it will instantly disappear and be replaced by something even more bizarrely inexplicable.

There is another theory which states that this has already happened.
