Finished!     Grin

This was inspired by the Giant Rectangle Afghan CAL here.
http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=131089.0

This was done in Caron Simply Soft in Chocolate and Light Country Blue.  It is super soft and would fit a twin size bed.  The color in the pictures doesn't do the color justice.  Sad

Once you get used to making the three DC "petals" it is super easy to work up.

This is BEAUTIFUL. And it's exactly what I want to make. Do you have any suggestions on how to keep the petals a consistent size? I'm pretty new to crochet, but I have begun dozens of granny squares only to have the outer petals become looser and looser. Any suggestions?  Smiley

starbuckRJ Keep practicing to keep your stitch size consistent.  The more you practice the more consistent your stitch size will be.  I also added a row of single crochet to give the blanket a nice edge

KittyCreates Thanks!  It is super soft!

razortongue It took about a month or so.  I really didn't keep track.  Undecided  I just worked on it when I had time.  I'm not a fast crocheter, but the pattern works up so easily!

Try it guys!  I promise you won't be disappointed!  Smiley

I know those two colors, so you're right, so I can totally picture it--those colors are gorgeous together.  Nice job on the blanket!

Thanks rina

Caron Simply Soft has a beautiful shine to it and it is $2.06 a skein!  Gotta love that!  Smiley
