Thanks for the input everyone  Grin

I hadn't thought of putting the texts in with the monsters.  I haven't actually sold any over the net yet, just at craft fairs, but I'll have a think on that one.

I only work with preloved socks. I accept this isn't to everyone's taste, but they are very clean socks! Plus it's the recycling issue - I've always worked with junk. I cannot justify throwing something away if it can be used again, in whatever form.  I am very upfront with this, and make it clear when selling them (runs away and edits website  Roll Eyes ).  I have the socks, and the recycled packaging, but am still a bit stumped on the polyester filling - time to do some more net-searching, methinks Smiley

Packaging is half the marketing, so maybe add a birth certificate with the monster's story and a short profile/ questionnaire? That would make them special... and you could also stress its previous life, thus making it part of your marketing instead of a minus.

Mine are packed in a brown paper bag, with a nice bow, and their personal 5cm button attached to it. I usually write a quick message on the bag as well and include my business card. It's no big deal for me, since I have a button maker at home, but people feel like they are really buying something made with love.
